Sansi LED: Sustainable LED Lighting and Integrated LED Display

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge crosses Lingdingyang and connects Hong Kong SAR to the east and Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, Macao SAR to the west with a length of 55 kilometers, among which the main project combines bridge, island and tunnel in 29.6 kilometers, making it the longest sea crossing bridge in the world. It also has the longest immersed submarine tunnel in the world and it is the longest mileage, the most expensive and most difficult sea crossing bridge in China's construction history and listed as llone of the seven wonders of the modern world".

What Did SANSI Provide?

More than 27,000 sets of LED lighting fixtures and 900 LED variable message signs.

For the entire length of the bridge, SANSI customized all the LED lights for the road, tunnel and outline decoration, as well as the variable message board systems. The respective intelligent control systems for the lighting system and the message system was also provided by SANSI.

Dual Modes- Free Switch

Night view lighting of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge applies normal mode and holiday mode. Under normal mode, the key tone would be white to manifest the origin color of the bridge; under holiday mode, RGB color effect will be activated to deliver colorful scenes. The changeable color elements combined with the large size of the bridge is an echo to the bustling night scene surrounding it, which highlights the shape of the bridge.

Flexible Lighting Forms

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge main project lights up. The complicated shape of the bridge determines the richness of its lighting form. LED ceramic cooling lights, LED street lights, LED reflective tunnel light, LED landscape light, play their role in different sections. SANSI LED street lights provided for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge are equipped with no holes on the top. Ceramic technology ensures sufficient heat dissipation and prevents the invasion of salt fog and steam, thus greatly improving the reliability of our LED street lights.

Bridge Towers

Acting as the main scenic area, there are seven bridge towers. More than 10 sets of LED projection lights are arranged for each bridge tower. Narrow beam projection is applied to light up the face of the main tower and track lighting for each cable, which not only outlines the shape of the bridge tower, but also presents the power of the cables and creates a sense of rhythm.

Unique Night View

Its night view design pays more attention to fluctuations of rhythm and the three navigable hole bridges look like "pearls" while the two artificial islands appear as a pair of jade stones", both of them are core areas of scenic night lighting. The bridge rolls look like a string of beads inlaid in the sea that coincides with the put pearls and jade stones intertwining" supplementing the aesthetic concept of the bridge’s design.The brightness of Luminance of our luminaires can be adjusted from 0 to 100%, making them save more energy, protecting the environment. Night view lighting has set centralized remote controls, automatic controls and manual controls. The opening time and sections can be adjusted according to needs, and effectively monitor the color of light and lighting status.

LED Variable Message Sign

SANSI LED variable message signs display weather information, traffic conditions and speed limit information for drivers, eye-catching traffic information combined with high visibility of the stable display, effectively ensuring traffic safety.

For the project, a lot of new technologies and new materials are adopted to further improve salt spray resistance, anti-ultraviolet radiation, and high and low temperature resistance of variable message sign, such as the customized steel lock tongue for the bridge.
