What You Should Know About LED Video Wall?

It’s rarely seen LED video wall in public places other than stadiums, shopping malls or casinos ten years ago; with the revolutionary development of LED technology and LED innovation, LED video wall is applied in all walks of industries and in almost every aspect of our daily lives.

It is normally taken into consideration when install a LED video wall; its position, be it exterior or interior; the maintenance, the image quality and the available space for installments.

What is LED video Wall? LED video wall is composed of direct-viewing LED display (also called DV), they work together as a whole to display content, just like a big single screen.

What is a light-emitting diode? LED stands for "Light Emitting Diode", which is a miniature dual-lead semiconductor light source that can generate and emit light by itself.

Light-emitting diodes are just tiny light bulbs that can be plugged into circuits. Unlike standard bulbs, they have no filament; Therefore, they will not burn out or become too hot. They are illuminated only by the movement of electrons in the semiconductor, and the color of the bulb is also derived from this.

Pixel pitches, with the continuous development of the LED technology and Technological innovation, which made it possible that the pixel density is greatly increasing. what is pixel in LED? What is pixel in LED? A pixel is the smallest element of a digital image, relative to where it is presented. On an LED display, one LED is referred as a pixel as it is the smallest unit on the LED display. On a computer screen, one dot is referred as a pixel.

The LED used in the video wall is special because the display can achieve "true black". This is done by coating each LED with black resin epoxy, and then insert shadows between the lights to separate the lighting and eliminate reflections.

The LED video wall consists of several small LED displays mounted on a flat panel. Therefore, when installing an LED video wall, the average viewing distance shall be considered. The number of pixels will determine the resolution in that case. The closer to the video wall, the finer the pixel pitch is required.

One pixel in the LED video wall is equal to one surface mount device (SMD). what’s on that small pixel is the RGB die. The pixel density is calculated from the pitch and the spacing is determined by the distance (in mm) between each SMD LED.
